The schedule for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Women’s Basketball Championship in Harris, AR has been released.
Ancilla drew the 9th seed and will play #8 Illinois Central out of Peoria, IL in a 9 p.m. game on Tuesday, March 20th. Their second game could be against #1 seed Monroe Community College from Rochester, NY or the #16 seed Harcum Community College from Bryn Mawr, PA. If the Lady Chargers win their opener they play at 7 p.m. Thursday. If they lose the first game they play at noon on Thursday.
Ancilla and Illinois Central played a scrimmage game in early October as part of a jamboree in Peoria. ICC has also played Lake Michigan College this season and won 68-59 in Benton, Harbor in early February. So these teams will not be completely new to each other.
This is a double elimination tournament and those winning the first two rounds play for 1st through 4th place and those that lose in the first or second round play for 5th or 7th place.
