Crossroads League Announces Softball Award Winners

 INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its 2017 Softball All-League Team on Wednesday, less than one week after No. 4 Marian secured its third-straight regular season Crossroads League Championship.

The Knights claimed 11 honors from the Crossroads League on Wednesday, highlighted by CL Pitcher of the Year, Breena Smith, and CL Coach of the Year, Scott Fleming. Marian also claimed All-Crossroads League honors with Riley Cripe, Grace Lumpkin, Logan Personett, Hannah Williams and Smith, while Carly Greene was named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League and Williams, Personett and Mackenzie Reeder were tabbed as Gold Glove Award recipients.

Indiana Wesleyan’s Kaisey Carson and Huntington’s Lairen Miller also headlined the league’s honors, as Carson was voted as the Crossroads League Player of the Year and Miller was touted as the Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year.
