Cleveland, MO – Maddie Yahnig has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for Ancilla College and coach Bruce Johnson. The 5-5 setter from Midway High School comes to Ancilla with some excellent career statistics. She had 1,784 career assists and 619 assists in a season her senior year. She also played some backrow for the Lady Vikings and had 665 career digs, good for third on the school’s all-time list. She also played on two District Championships.

“We welcome Maddie and are looking to forward to having her on campus in the fall,” said Bruce Johnson, Ancilla’s head volleyball coach. “I am excited to see what Maddie will do at Ancilla and I can’t wait to get the season started.”

“Maddie has been a contributor and leader for Midway volleyball since she stepped on the court as a freshman,” said Midway coach CJ Chamberlin. “Her hard work and determination to win showed every time she played and she inspired her teammates to raise their level of play as well.  Maddie will leave Midway volleyball as one of the most decorated players in the program.”
