The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Chesterton sophomore forward Jake Wadding and NorthWood senior guard Brad Delio. In the Trojans’ 69-53 win over visiting East Chicago Central on Tuesday, the 6-foot-4 Wadding scored 25 points, hitting 12-of-14 shots, and snagged 16 rebounds. He also contributed five assists and two blocks. In Thursday’s 43-42 win over visiting Highland, Wadding tallied 12 points, including the game-winning basket with 9.4 seconds left. He added five rebounds to help the Trojans improve their season record to 6-0.
In Friday’s 52-51 win over visiting Plymouth, the 5-10 Delio netted 21 points, including the game-winning 12-foot jumper with 3.7 seconds left. He was 9-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range. In Tuesday’s 56-25 victory against Jimtown, Delio chipped in 10 points and dished out five assists to help the No. 10 (Class 3A) Panthers, who are now 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
