The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are South Bend Saint Joseph sophomore swimmer Mary Catherine Pruitt and Hammond Gavit senior basketball player Darlisha Reed.

In Monday’s 106-79 Northern Indiana Conference victory at Penn, Pruitt came up with first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:54.77), the 500 freestyle (5:01.68), and was also part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:48.55) and 400 freestyle relay (3:40.46) teams for the Indians. The win also snapped the Kingsmen’s 191 NIC match winning streak dating back to the 1994-95 season.

In Thursday’s 56-47 win over Washington Township, the 6-foot Reed netted 22 points, hauled down 18 rebounds, and came up five steals for the Gladiators (8-5). For the season, she is now averaging 26.5 points, 16.9 rebounds, and 3.3 steals.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
