The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Crown Point sophomore track and field performer Genesio Christofanelli and Mishawaka junior track and field performer Paishence Johnson.
In Saturday’s Kokomo Relays, Christofanelli finished first in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:46.46 and also anchored the winning distance medley relay team with a time of 7:52.95 to help the Bulldogs to a second place finish with 98 points in the eight-team field.
In Friday’s Princess Relays held at Mishawaka’s Steele Stadium, Johnson played a big role in leading the Cavemen to the team title with 96 points. In earning most valuable performer honors, she was part of the first place 800-meter sprint (1:54.11), 400-meter (50.04), 800-meter (1:49.50), and third place 1,600-meter (4:13.37) relay teams.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
