The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is Griffith senior running back Tayvien Walker. In the Panthersâ 48-9 win over No. 6 (Class 2A) Whiting on Friday, Walker carried the football 11 times for 229 yards and two touchdowns. On his first carry, he ran 65 yards for a score and then added a 75-yard scamper for another tally in the second quarter on his fifth carry of the contest.
The Centier Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned event and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
