For the third time in program history, No. 1 College of Idaho is headed to the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship, as they defeated No. 1 Arizona Christian, 72-45, on Monday evening inside Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

No. 1 College of Idaho will play for its third NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship in program history on Tuesday night, as the defeated No. 1 Arizona Christian, 72-45, in Monday’s NAIA Fab Four contest.
Arizona Christian has been eliminated from championship play.
GAME NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS – College of Idaho
- College of Idaho improves to 34-2 on the season.
- COI is 2-0 all-time in NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship games.
- The Yotes have now won 24-straight games.
- College of Idaho won the NAIA National Championship in 2023 and in 1996.
- COI led for the entire 40 minutes.
- The jumped out to an 9-0 start to the game and didn’t allow ACU to score until the 16:25 mark in the first half.
- COI led at the half, 38-16, and outscored the Firestorm, 34-29, in the second.
- The Yotes had an impressive 17 offensive rebounds in the victory and 47 total rebounds.
- 10 different Yotes scored in the game.
- Samaje Morgan had a team-high 14 points.
- Also in double figures was Staton Rogers with 11, while teammates Tyler Robinett and Drew Wyman each scored 10.
- The COI defense held ACU to just 26.3-percent shooting on 15-of-57 and just 22.2-percent from three-point range on 4-of-18.
GAME NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS – Arizona Christian
- ACU ends its seaosn with a record of 30-5
- This marked their second Fab Four in program history, the other took place in 2022.
- Amaechi Chukwu led the way for ACU with 13 points, he was the lone Firestorm to score in double figures.
- The ACU defense held COI to just 35.2-percent shooting on the day, shooting just 25-of-71.
- The Firestorm also held COI to just 21.2-percent from three, shooting 7-of-33.
- Anthony Howell led ACU in assists with four.
