IUSB Women’s Volleyball drops two at Aquinas Tourney

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (0-13, 0-1 CCAC) dropped both matches in their first day of their tournament in Grand Rapids, dropping game one to Aquinas College in four sets by scores of 15-25, 16-25, 25-19, and 18-25. IU South Bend lost their second match to the Cumberland University Phoenix in four sets by scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-19, and 20-25.

The Titans offense for the day was led by hitters Madison Figg and Ryleigh Grott who both finished the day with 21 total kills, both finishing with 10 kills against Aquinas College and 11 kills against the Phoenix of Cumberland University.

The IU South Bend passing game was orchestrated was junior setter Emma Knowlton who ended the day with 35 assists, 17 coming against the Saints and 18 coming against the Phoenix.

The Titans defense was anchored by defensive specialist Sydney Hanna who concluded the day with 44 digs, 18 coming against the Saints of Aquinas College and 26 coming against the Cumberland University Phoenix.

The Indiana University South Bend return to action tomorrow in Grand Rapids, Mich., with a doubleheader taking on Concorida University (Mich.) at 11:00 AM ET followed by a match against Cornerstone University at 3:00 PM ET.
