Port Huron, MI – The Ancilla College women’s bowling team was back in action Friday and they responded with the top team and individual scores of the day. Ancilla shot 4,031 to beat second place Muskegon’s 3,814. Brooklynn Schutz had the high series (612) and high game (210) to pace the Lady Chargers at the St. Claire Community College Invitational at Port Huron Lanes.
Freshman Brenna Gibbons had one of her best matches of the year as she finished second with a 525 score over three games. Alecia Albanese was sixth at 506, with Taylor Ellison 8th at 499. Mackenzie Laskey shot a 494 and Taylor Landes scored a 443.
Ancilla has missed two of the Michigan Community College matches this year due to weather, but were able to make their farthest trip of the season to the conferences last match. Next Friday they will be in Muskegon for the MCCAA/Region XII Championship at Northway Lanes. The match will get under way about 10 a.m.
