KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Southeastern University men’s basketball team moved up three spots in the second in-season edition of the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Top 25.
The Fire checked in at eighth in the poll voted on by a panel of coaches representing each conference.
Southeastern, ranked 11th in the preseason poll and first in-season poll, are 9-1 and received a total of 232 points in the voting. College of Idaho received seven first-place votes to move to the top of the rankings, followed by Morningside (Iowa), Oklahoma Wesleyan, and Friday’s opponent, Indiana Wesleyan.
Saturday’s opponent for SEU, St. Francis (Ind.) jumped back into the rankings at 19th. Fellow Sun Conference member Warner is also back into the poll, checking in at 21st.
This is the second-highest in-season ranking for Southeastern. The Fire were seventh on December 12th of last year.
