Golden Gophers’ Coffey and Schulze named Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively; Wolverines’ Jaskie claims Pitcher of the Week honors

Player of the Week

Micah Coffey, Minnesota

Jr. – 3B – Batavia, Ill. – Central

Led the Golden Gophers to a 4-1 week, including a victory over Georgia State and a series sweep against Penn State

Batted .550 on the week with 11 hits, 10 RBI, one home run and nine runs scored

Hit for the cycle in the victory over Penn State on Saturday, becoming the first Minnesota player to achieve the feat since 2002

Earns the first Player of the Week award of his career
