Wolverines’ Lexie Blair and Gophers’ Amber Fiser receive Big Ten’s top honors this week

Player and Freshman of the Week

Lexie Blair, Michigan

Turned in a near-perfect offensive weekend, batting .875 (7-for-8) with a .900 on-base percentage (9-of-10) and a 1.250 slugging percentage with eight RBI and three runs scored in leading No. 25/24 Michigan to a three-game sweep of Kent State

Had a single, double and grand slam with six RBI in a run-rule victory in the opener of Sunday’s doubleheader

Added three hits in Sunday’s nightcap, as well as a two-run single in the series-opening win (also shortened via the run rule) on March 14

Earns her first career Player of the Week honor
