HUNTINGTON, Ind. – No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball continues to struggle from three, falling 65-56 to Huntington University. Since knocking down a program-best 17 threes on December 22, the fourth-ranked team in the country in three-point field percentage has gone cold. The Wildcats have shot 27% in the new year from three, just 3-of-21 on Saturday.
FIRST CAREER START
- Sophomore Dayton Groningerentered the lineup Saturday for the first time in her career. Groninger led the Wildcats with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting, adding three rebounds and one assist.
MOHR, FRYMAN SHOW
- Foresters Sarah Fryman and Erin Mohr did it all for HU Saturday, combining to score 40 of HU’s 67 points. Mohr poured in 13 while Fryman added 12 in the first half. Fryman would finish with 22 while Mohr added 18.
