FLORENCE, Ky. – No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan softball took their hot bats into Friday, defeating Crowley’s Ridge College 8-0 and Cincinnati Christian 12-0. IWU struck out just one time in 50 plate appearances Friday while accumulating eight stolen bases and three triples.
GAME 1 RECAP
- Addie Benhamand Hannah Miller dominated from the mound, giving up just two hits in five innings of action while striking out three.
- Benham hit her fourth home run of the weekend in the bottom of the first, finishing the game 1-for-2 with three RBI’s.
GAME 2 RECAP
- Rebecca Schradtripled in the top of the first driving two of her four RBI’s in the game. Schrad finished the game 2-of-2 from the plate with four RBI’s, one run and one stolen base.
- McKenzey Ridge handled things from the mound, pitching all five innings, giving up three hits, while striking out four.
BABINSKI PERSPECTIVE
- I loved how we came out today fighting for excellence. We got better on all 3 aspects of the game: pitching, defense, and offense. This team’s energy is infectious and their heart to play for God and each other gets me fired up! Excited to see what’s next for Team 32.
