HAMMOND, Ind. – The Purdue University Northwest baseball team dropped an 11-inning game to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Olivet Nazarene, 5-4, Friday afternoon at Dowling Park.

The Pride (11-8, 4-1 CCAC) scored one run in each of the first four innings to take a 4-0 lead, but the Tigers (14-12, 3-2 CCAC) used a late game surge to even the score at 4-4, before picking up the extra inning win.

Six players recorded one hit apiece to lead the Pride at the plate, with Brock Crews (Manteno, Ill./Manteno) driving in a pair of runs, while Larry Crisler (Gary, Ind./Bishop Noll) and Cody Moskovsky (St. John, Ind./Bishop Noll) each scored two runs a piece.

Jimmy Skiff (Dyer, Ind./Andrean) earned the no decision on the mound for PNW, allowing just five hits and two runs, one earned, with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Jake Lindeman (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) drove in Crisler for the first run of the game on an RBI-single in the bottom of the first inning.

Crews would plate Moskovsky on an RBI-groundout in the second frame, with Avondre Harris (Mishawaka, Ind./Mishawaka) recording an RBI-double in the bottom of the third to give the Pride a 3-0 lead.

Crews would single in the bottom of the fourth to drive in Moskovsky again and extent the lead to 4-0.

Olivet Nazarene would start to creep back in the top of the sixth, thanks to back-to-back RBI-hits from Kurtis Minton and R.W. Rienow which cut their deficit in half.

The Tigers would even the score in the top of the eight on a 2-RBI single by Ben Hill which tied the game at 4-4.

ONU would score the game-winning run in the top of the 11th frame to secure a 5-4 victory for the Tigers.
