Purdue improves to 17-6 with win over Huskers

• Purdue improved to 17-6 overall and 10-2 in the Big Ten with an 81-62 win over Nebraska in front of 14,804 fans at Mackey Arena … the win was Purdue’s eighth straight Big Ten win, now the fourth-longest Big Ten winning streak under head coach Matt Painter.
• Purdue improved to 15-5 all-time against Nebraska and is now 7-0 in Mackey Arena against Nebraska.
• Purdue’s 10-2 league start is the fifth-best 12-game start in league history for the Boilermakers (12-0 in 2017-18; 11-1 in 2007-08, 1987-88 and 1968-69).
• Purdue has now won at least 10 games in Big Ten play for the 10^th time in Matt Painter’s 14 years at Purdue.
• During Purdue’s eight-game win streak, it has won seven of the games by at least nine points.
• Purdue has won 14 straight games at Mackey Arena and is 35-1 over its last 36 games at home.
• Purdue’s senior class has won 100 career games, the fifth class to reach that mark in school history … the school record is 107 set by the Class of 2011 … Purdue’s senior class is now 60-4 at home, just two wins shy of the school record for home wins by a senior class (62 by 2018).
• Purdue is 30-1 in its last 31 games when committing fewer turnovers and outrebounding its opponent.
• Carsen Edwards scored 27 points to surpass 1,600 career points (now with 1,612) … he added two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot … it marked his 43^rd straight double-figure scoring game, tied for the ffith-longest streak in school history (with JaJuan Johnson) … Edwards has 17, 20-point games this year … Edwards moved into 17^th place on the school’s career scoring list (1,612 points) … became the fourth player in school history with 1,600 points, 300 rebounds, 200 assists and 100 career steals.
• Grady Eifert tallied a career-high 16 points with seven rebounds, four steals and two assists … he scored 16 points on 100 percent efficiency from the field, the fifth-most points on 100 percent efficiency in school history … of his seven rebounds, five were on the offensive end.
• Nojel Eastern recorded his third career double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals … over the last eight games, Eastern is averaging 9.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
• Ryan Cline tallied 10 points with four rebounds and one assist … Cline has made at least two 3-pointers in each of the last 10 games.
• Matt Haarms has nine blocked shots in the last two games (46 minutes) … he tied a career high with eight rebounds.
