KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Fire men’s basketball team is set to make consecutive appearances at the NAIA Division II Championship for the first time in program history.
Southeastern was one of nine teams to receive an at-large bid to the field of 32, marking its third overall appearance and second in as many seasons.
The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. plays host for the second year in a row.
The Fire will take on the University of Jamestown on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. Eastern in the first round of play in the Liston Bracket. The winner will advance to play either second-seeded Spring Arbor or seventh-seeded Indiana Tech on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.
Three Sun Conference teams qualified with Warner earning a bid as the regular season champions, and will face Dakota Wesleyan Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Ave Maria, the tournament champions, will face Southwestern on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Quarterfinal matches will take place on Saturday with the semifinals on Monday, and championship on Tuesday.
