DADE CITY, Fla. — After a strong start, the Southeastern University men’s golf team ended up sixth behind five Top 10 teams.
The Fire carded two of their better rounds of the year on the first two days, but closed with a 314 in the final, coming up 15 shots over 54 holes shy of No. 10 Johnson & Wales for fifth.
Andres Padilla was the top individual finisher in a tie for 12th, closing his week with a five-over 77 and totaling 220 (67-76-77).
Landry Miller was named the Champions of Character award winner for the second straight year, and was second on the team in 24th, five shots behind Padilla (75-71-79).
Noah Endicott placed 25th, a shot behind Miller at 226 (72-74-80), and was followed by Gonzalo Moreno in 39th with a score of 231 (78-75-78).
Jacob Soucinek rounded out the roster in 47th at 243 (78-79-86).
