SEU Women’s Basketball Holds at Third in Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—With six wins in its first six games, the Fire women’s basketball team remains third in the first in-season NAIA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
The top three remained unchanged after the first month of play with Concordia (Neb.) the unanimous No. 1 choice, followed by defending champion Dakota Wesleyan.
Southeastern is one of five unbeaten teams in the Top 25 this week.
Of the current Top 25, the Fire will face three of the top seven over the next month. Additionally, SEU has defeated two ranked opponents in No. 10 Taylor and No. 21 Indiana Wesleyan.
Southeastern will host Johnson & Wales on Thursday at 5:30 in search of its 60th consecutive regular season win.
