VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—Six separate players finished in double-digits for the Fire as Southeastern routed NCCAA Division II Regent University by a score of 108-65 Saturday night. With the win, SEU has now been victorious in nine of ten competitions this season, posting a 9-1 (5-0 TSC) record.
Josiah Barsh and Jeremy Oppenheimer both led the way for the Fire in the first half with 11 points and three three-pointers each. The duo ended the night as the top two scorers in the contest with 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Quennel Francis collected all of his 14 points in the second half of play, which captained SEU in its most productive 20 minutes this season. The Fire, who scored 60 points in the final half, used the second period to pull away from the Royals and close out the 43-point triumph.
Dylan Causwell added 16 points, while Isaiah Moody and Michael Hill Jr. contributed with 11 points apiece.
The Fire will be back on the court when they host Indiana Wesleyan University as part of the SEU Invitational on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Furnace.
