Spring Arbor baseball sweeps IWU

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. — Spring Arbor (Mich.) won both ends of a doubleheader vs. Indiana Wesleyan baseball on Saturday in Spring Arbor, Michigan. The two losses bring the IWU skid to five straight as their record evens to 18-18 on the season.

  • Indiana Wesleyan committed three errors in game two which resulted in seven unearned runs.
  • Spring Arbor scored three runs in the 1st inning which all three were unearned. SAU scored five more times in the 5th inning and two errors made four of the runs unearned.
  • The Wildcats trailed 8-3 entering the 8th inning. IWU scored two times to make it an 8-5 score and had the tying run at the plate. But Spring Arbor got out of the jam with a fly out to center field.
