ON THE RUNAWAY (Top running performances)

Tor’Jon Evans racked up 12 rushes for 376 yards and five touchdowns and caught a 74-yard pass for another score in Evansville Central’s 56-15 victory over Paoli.

Hunter Myers tallied 19 carries for 327 yards and six touchdowns for Scottsburg in a 65-14 victory over Clarksville.

Caleb Hamilton ran for 322 yards and tied a school-record with six touchdowns for Eastern Greene in a 68-44 win over Springs Valley. Hamilton also completed 9-of-12 passes for 153 yards and two scores as the two squads combined for more than 1,100 total yards.

Charlie Spegal scampered for a career-high 317 yards with three touchdowns on 29 attempts for Delta in a 39-7 victory over Centerville.

Mitchell Orschell ran 28 times for 291 yards and three touchdowns in Franklin County’s 54-25 win against New Castle.

Jordan Presley recorded 268 total yards with two touchdown runs and a reception for another score as Fort Wayne Bishop Luers downed Carroll (Fort Wayne), 34-19.

Heisman Skeens rolled up 253 yards of offense, good for four scores, in Mississinewa’s 42-27 win at Lapel.

Nate Mullen racked up 16 rushes for 239 yards and four touchdowns in Bremen’s 41-13 victory over Tippecanoe Valley.

Louie Razo accumulated 18 carries for 237 yards and three touchdowns for Chesterton in a 35-21 win over Hobart.

Shawn Hapenny ran 33 times for 223 yards and one touchdown in Terre Haute North’s 35-14 win over Northview.

Zach Neligh registered 222 yards on the ground and two scores for New Palestine in a 19-8 victory Whiteland.

Wyatt Snyder racked up 221 yards of offense with two touchdowns in Monroe Central’s 52-0 shutout of Cambridge City Lincoln.

Marcus Morrow rushed for 216 yards and two scores for defending Class 3A state champion Fort Wayne Concordia in a 29-0 blanking of Fort Wayne South.

Jed Minnich carried the ball 17 times for 210 yards and two touchdowns for Milan in a 52-27 win over Rushville.

Anthony Maceo ran 17 times for 207 yards and five touchdowns in Portage’s 47-45 loss to Mishawaka.

Chris Harness had 16 carries for 204 yards and two scores, including the game-winning 57-yard run, for Mishawaka against Portage.

Marquis Munoz rushed the ball 13 times for 204 yards and two touchdowns in Lafayette Jeff’s 54-0 win over Lafayette Central Catholic.

Markese Stepp tallied 18 carries for 203 yards and three touchdowns in Indianapolis Cathedral’s 35-28 loss to Louisville St. Xavier.

Max Slusser rambled 16 times for 202 yards and a touchdown in Triton’s 70-0 blanking of South Newton.

Brayton Yoder had 15 carries for 199 yards and two scores in NorthWood’s 31-0 triumph over Jimtown.

Sam Schoonveld ran 28 times for 183 yards and five touchdowns for Clinton Prairie in a 60-35 victory over Frontier.

Dylan McKinney recorded 185 yards of offense with two rushing touchdowns and a catch for another tally for Evansville North in a 26-19 win over Princeton.

Christian Covington had 12 touches for 176 yards and three scores in Fort Wayne Snider’s 59-7 win over Fort Wayne North.

Ricky Rocha rushed 17 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning eight-yard run with 1:08 remaining as Elkhart Central rallied for a 21-20 win over rival Elkhart Memorial.

Jack Rhoades had 29 carries for 173 yards and two scores in Woodlan’s 35-19 win over Eastside.

Dru Berkebile ran 15 times for 170 yards and four scores and caught a pass for another tally in Frankton’s 87-0 thrashing of Anderson Prep Academy.

Drew Sheridan rushed 16 times for 168 yards and five touchdowns for Attica in a 54-22 win against Riverton Parke.

Kenyon Ervin rambled 25 times for 165 yards and one score and caught a pass for another tally as Evansville Memorial posted an 18-7 win against Jasper.

Jake Osburn had 20 rushes for 161 yards and three scores for South Central in a 33-6 win over Lake Station.

Jamon Hogan carried the ball 17 times for 158 yards and three touchdowns in Columbus East’s 42-17 win at Bloomington North.

Wyatt Purkhiser had nine touches for 158 yards and one score for Springs Valley against Eastern Greene. Purkhiser also caught five passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.

Stephen Owens accumulated 154 yards rushing and three scores in New Haven’s 49-7 victory Heritage.

Teely Rhyne rushed 30 times for 153 yards and three touchdowns for Andrean in a 42-13 win over Merrillville.

Dylan Stefanich ran 17 times for 147 yards and four scores as Gibson Southern blanked Forest Park, 62-0.

Conner Graber had 21 touches for 118 yards and three touchdowns in Northridge’s 26-14 win over South Bend Adams.

Mark Brownlee registered 116 yards on the ground with two scores and also caught a pass for a third tally for Elkhart Memorial against Elkhart Central.

Nolan Lorenz ran for 114 yards and three touchdowns in LaPorte’s 41-12 win over New Prairie.

Before leaving the game with a broken bone in his leg, Garrett Horn ran for 113 yards and one score for Churubusco in a 56-0 win over Whitko.

PASSING THE TEST (Top passing performances.)

Kolton Tucker was 18-of-38 for 432 yards and four touchdowns in Benton Central’s 37-29 loss to North Montgomery.

Brycen Moore completed 25-of-35 attempts for 361 yards and two scores in Castle’s 41-34 victory over Terre Haute South.

Cameron Misner went 16-of-20 for 348 yards and six touchdowns in Avon’s 58-32 victory against Plainfield.

Brandon Young finished 16-of-36 for 331 yards and two scores in Fort Wayne Wayne’s 27-12 loss to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.

Ben Slaton was 18-of-36 for 330 yards and four score for Plainfield against Avon.

Luke Touloukian registered 326 yards of offense with a touchdown pass and run in West Lafayette’s 40-10 triumph at Tri-West.

Evan Eshbach completed 20-of-30 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a third tally in Wawasee’s 52-34 win over Lakeland.

Casey Conatser threw for 320 yards and four scores in Monroe Central’s triumph over Cambridge City Lincoln.

Carson Blair connected on 16-of-22 passes for 318 yards and six touchdowns in Southwood’s 59-18 win over Manchester.

Jack Conner was 12-of-15 for 301 yards and four scores and ran for two more tallies as Sullivan downed North Knox, 45-14.

Norman Knapke went 14-of-24 for 299 yards and three touchdowns for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers against Carroll (Fort Wayne).

Michael Lindauer was 18-of-33 for 298 yards and two touchdowns for Evansville Memorial against Jasper.

Matthew Wilkerson had 291 yards through the air with two scores on 14-of-22 completions in Lafayette Jeff’s blanking of Lafayette Central Catholic.

Collin Stroup completed 18-of-30 attempts for 290 yards and two scores for Clinton Prairie against Frontier.

A.J. Restivo was 16-of-25 for 267 yards and three touchdowns in Leo’s 38-24 win over South Bend Riley.

Travis McGuire went 14-of-17 for 266 yards and four touchdowns and also ran for 92 yards and a score for Frankton against Anderson Prep Academy.

Niah Williamson tossed for 274 yards and four scores for New Castle against Franklin County.

Levi Frazier finished 16-of-35 for 273 yards and three touchdowns in Lapel’s loss to Mississinewa.

Nathaniel Butts accumulated 249 total yards with a touchdown pass and run in Fountain Central’s 18-14 win over Southmont.

Justin Johnson passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 158 yards and another tally in Marion’s 35-0 blanking of Huntington North.

Tristan Elder went 9-of-17 for 226 yards and a touchdown for Terre Haute North against Northview

Jiya Wright passed for 227 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 179 yards and another tally in Homestead’s 43-23 victory over Fort Wayne Northrop.

Iraken Armstead completed 25-of-47 passes for 224 yards and two scores for South Bend Adams against Northridge.

James Jackson was 16-of-28 for 225 yards and two touchdowns and added 86 yards on the ground for South Bend Riley against Leo.

Eddie Morris accounted for 218 yards of offense with a scoring pass and run for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger against Fort Wayne Wayne.

Levi Hrabos was 18-of-26 for 213 yards and four touchdowns as Northwestern claimed its 15th straight opening game win with a 40-16 triumph over Clinton Central.

Donyell Meredith completed 16-of-25 passes for 208 yards and three scores for Lawrence Central in a 40-6 victory at McCutcheon.

Zach Bundalo went 9-of-14 for 207 yards and four touchdowns in Lake Central’s 33-14 victory over Munster.

Reid Neal completed 11-of-16 passes for 207 yards and three scores in Yorktown’s 32-0 triumph over Anderson.

Jake Byrd tossed for 205 yards and two touchdowns for Fort Wayne Concordia against Fort Wayne South.

Trenton Kelley went 15-of-24 for 202 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a fourth score in Columbus North’s 41-0 blanking of Franklin.

Holton Hill was nearly perfect by connecting on 12-of-13 passes for 200 yards and three scores in Jay County’s 43-6 victory over Blackford.

Justin Durkes finished 19-of-23 for 199 yards and two touchdowns for Woodlan against Eastside.

Collins Turner was 14-of-24 for 198 yards and one score and also ran for two touchdowns for Terre Haute South against Castle.

Bo Snyder went 5-of-11 for 188 yards and three touchdowns for Triton against South Newton.

Hunter Chadwick completed 7-of-15 tosses for 185 yards and two scores for Southmont against Fountain Central.

Peyton Estes went 7-of-8 for 184 yards and three touchdowns to Jonathan Pinyot in Heritage Christian’s 68-0 triumph over Indianapolis Broad Ripple. Jair Adams added four scores on the ground for the Eagles.

Brady Bogan accounted for 175 total yards with a pair of touchdown passes and runs for Franklin County against New Castle.

Brennon Harris was 6-of 7 for 174 yards and two touchdowns for Evansville Central against Paoli.

Blake Fields went 7-of-13 for 173 yards and three touchdowns in Union County’s 62-7 victory over Oldenburg Academy.

Isaac Sellers completed 12-of-16 attempts for 155 yards and three scores for Gibson Southern against Forest Park.

Christian Conkling went 9-of-11 for 149 yards and four touchdowns for Pendleton Heights in 39-6 victory over Muncie Central.

Cade Jones finished 11-of-13 for 149 yards with four touchdowns and ran for another score as Heritage Hills downed Mount Vernon (Posey), 42-26.

K.J. Roudebush connected on 6-of-10 passes for 137 yards and four touchdowns and ran for two more scores in Tipton’s 72-0 blanking of Madison-Grant.

Josh Major was 9-of-9 for 132 yards and three scores for Columbus East against Bloomington North.

Although Levi Follett completed just 7-of-9 passes for 102 yards, he did throw five touchdowns in Garrett’s 42-0 decision over Prairie Heights.

In his first varsity start, Zach Merrill was 3-of-5 for 69 yards and three scores for Andrean against Merrillville.

CATCHING ON FAST (Top receiving performances.)

Blaine Morin caught 11 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns in Benton Central’s loss to North Montgomery.

Triston Wilkinson had 11 receptions for 197 yards and one score for Castle against Terre Haute South.

Justin Gaston accounted for 194 yards of offense with a touchdown catch and run for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers against Carroll (Fort Wayne).

David Bell had eight catches for 181 yards and two touchdowns for Warren Central in 27-24 win over Center Grove.

Isaac Guerendo caught six passes for 176 yards and a pair of scores in Avon’s win over Plainfield.

Antwon Walker’s five receptions for 169 yards and two touchdowns were not enough for Hammond Clark in a 74-12 loss at Whiting.

Branson Combs hauled in six passes for 164 yards and a touchdown in Evansville Memorial’s win against Jasper.

Peyton Trexler tallied eight receptions for 164 yards and three scores and returned a kickoff 83 yards for another tally in Southwood’s win over Manchester.

Trenton Bonner had six catches for 141 yards with a touchdown catch as well as a scoring run for Leo against South Bend Riley.

Luke Bumbalough caught eight passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns in New Castle’s setback to Franklin County.

Max Nail came up with six receptions for 146 yards and one score for Clinton Prairie against Frontier.

Jalen Jennings came up with seven catches for 144 yards and one touchdown for South Bend Riley against Leo.

Jackson Land hauled in four receptions for 137 yards and two scores for Springs Valley against Eastern Greene.

Gio Lopez tallied two catches for 136 yards and one score in Lake Central’s win over Munster.

Cade Ritter had six receptions for 130 yards and one score and also threw a touchdown pass for Plainfield against Avon.

D’Andre Scruggs hauled in five passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns for Columbus North against Franklin.

SHOW STOPPERS (Top performances on defense and special teams.)

Peyton Johnson not only ran 18 times for 172 yards and three touchdowns, he also intercepted three passes, returning one 54 yards for a score, and also ran a punt back 72 yards for another tally as Taylor rolled to a 51-6 win over North White.

In addition to catching three passes for 90 yards resulting in three touchdowns, Eli Pancol also returned an interception 65 yards for a score in Pendleton Heights victory over Muncie Central.

Along with catching a 76-yard touchdown pass, Jaegar Gill ran a kickoff back 94 yards for a score in Lowell’s 27-13 triumph against Crown Point.

Jordan Jusevitch came up with a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Lowell’s victory over Crown Point.

Alex Bales converted a pair of field goals and two extra-points in Westfield’s 22-7 win over Harrison (West Lafayette).

Nic Guevara connected on field goals of 23, 33, and 32 yards as well as two extra-points for Terre Haute North against Northview.

Nathan Slack converted 9-of-10 extra-points and a 25-yard field goal for Tipton against Madison-Grant.

Mario Perez was 8-of-8 on extra-points for Logansport in its 56-0 blanking of Peru.

Brock Combs racked up 14 tackles for Evansville Memorial against Jasper.

Isaac Armstrong recorded 13 tackles for Harrison (West Lafayette) against Westfield.

Devin Sikes finished with 12 tackles in Floyd Central’s 35-10 loss to Louisville Male.

John Bock recorded six tackles and two fumble recoveries for Whiting against Hammond Clark.
