Trio of Crossroads League Programs in NAIA Softball Rankings

 

KANSAS CITY – Marian, Taylor and Indiana Wesleyan all represented the Crossroads League in the fourth NAIA Softball Top-25 Poll of the regular season, with the Knights staying at No. 4 and IWU joining TU in the receiving votes portion of the poll.

 

No. 4 Marian (40-4, 31-2 CL) dipped five points but held steady once again at fourth overall, after going 6-2 since the last poll and successfully repeating as Crossroads League Champions. The Knights open the CL Tournament against Spring Arbor on Wednesday at 10:00 am.

 

RV Taylor (35-14, 27-7 CL) jumped from 33rd to 27th in the points with 51, after closing on a 7-1 clip that included a split with No. 4 Marian. The second-seeded Trojans will begin play in the CL Tournament on Wednesday at 10:00 am against Mount Vernon Nazarene.

 

RV Indiana Wesleyan (38-11, 25-8 CL) won 14-of-15 games to end the regular season, climbing back into the poll with nine points for the 37th-highest total in the nation. IWU will enter the CL Tourney as the third-seed and will play Saint Francis on Wednesday at noon.

 

The NAIA Top-25 Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches from around the nation. The final Top-25 Poll of the regular season will be announced on May 10.
