Ancilla College Assistant Wrestling Coach Brian Windbigler has been promoted to head wrestling coach for the Chargers. Windbigler has coached football and wrestling in the area for over 17 years. He had joined the Ancilla wrestling program last year, the sport’s second year on campus.

Windbigler has coached both wrestling and football at Knox High School and Knox Middle School. He was the Knox wrestling coach for 15 years. While there he would routinely send 3-4 students to the semi-state each season.  He has also had a stint as a football coach at Portage High School.

“I want to first thank Ancilla College and Athletic Director Brian Pearison for the opportunity to lead the Ancilla College Charger wrestling program,” Windbigler said. “The program’s expectations are to work hard every day in wrestling, be an asset to the community, and in the classroom. I expect the returning wrestlers to lead by example, and with my help guide the incoming recruits in every aspect of the responsibilities that come with being a college student athlete.”

Windbigler is currently recruiting and scheduling for the 2018-19 season.
