Wisconsin men’s hockey travels to No. 1 Notre Dame and Chicago for weekend series

Friday’s game is 6:30 p.m. at Notre Dame, Sunday at 2 p.m. at United Center (games notes attached as pdf)

MADISON, Wis. —  No. 18 Wisconsin (11-11-3, 5-7-2-0 Big Ten) takes a road trip to skate against No. 1 Notre Dame (18-3-1, 12-0-0 Big Ten) on Friday at Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Indiana and Sunday at United Center in Chicago.
The Badgers made a similar road trip in 2005, winning 2-0 at Notre Dame on Jan. 21, then defeating the Fighting Irish by the exact same score the next night at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Wisconsin skated to a home split against Michigan State at the Kohl Center last weekend, dropping a 2-0 decision last Friday before grabbing a 5-2 win on Saturday.

Notre Dame was off last weekend, but enters the series on a 15-game winning streak.

With the games against Notre Dame, the Badgers will have played six of eight games against teams entering their game with UW on an unbeaten streak of at least eight games.

Friday’s game airs locally on NBC Sports Chicago Plus, while Sunday’s game will be shown nationally on NBC Sports Network. Both will stream at NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App for cable and satellite subscribers.
