Zuercher Inks with BC Track & Field

Bethel track and field is pleased to announce that Ben Zuercher from Goshen has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Bethel College beginning in the fall of 2017.

Zuercher, son of Ian and Andrea Zuercher, is a four-year letter winner for the Raiders of Northridge High School track and field program. The 6’0″ sprinter has competed for NHS in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and the 4×800-meter and 4×400-meter relays. The all-conference and all-state performer has a personal best time of 22.8 seconds in the 200-meter dash and a mark of 49.48 seconds in the 400-meter dash. Zuercher’s all-conference and all-state honors were earned in the 400-meter last season.

Away from the track, Zuercher also earned a varsity letter by running for the Northridge cross country team and is a volunteer for Grace Community Church Youth Group.

“Bethel seemed like a place where I could become not only a better athlete, but more importantly, a better student and Christian,” commented Zuercher. “I can’t wait to see what the next four years have in store.”
