Richter Named First Team NAIA Division II All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern University senior Ana Richter was named to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball All-America First Team.
Richter led NAIA Division II in scoring and field goal percentage, scoring over 23 points per game, and converting shots at a 68% success rate.
The Oxford, Ohio native was The Sun Conference Player of the Year, was an eight-time conference player of the week, and a two-time NAIA National Player of the Week, and was selected to the NAIA Division II National Championship All-Tournament Second Team.
Additionally, Richter ranked in the Top 25 nationally in four other statistical categories.
Richter scored 20 or more points in 24 of SEU’s 32 games this season. Twice, she made every shot she took in a game, going 10-for-10 from the field in a win over Keiser, and was 8-for-8 in the second round of the national tournament against Indiana Wesleyan.
Richter led the Fire to a 31-1 season, and a second consecutive appearance in the national quarterfinals.
In just 60 games at Southeastern, Richter made a mark on the record books, scoring 1,041 points, grabbing 390 rebounds, dishing out 192 assists, and recording 157 steals.
She becomes the second player in program history named to the first team, joining Bailey Hooker last season.
Additionally, Jaycee Coe was named to the honorable mention team, averaging 15 points per game, and converting on 98 3-pointers with a 42.8% success rate.
