16th-Ranked Trojans Stumble at Cornerstone

GRAND RAPIDS, Ind. – The Taylor women’s soccer team suffered its second loss of the season at Cornerstone, 1-0, on Tuesday night.

Despite an 18-5 shot advantage, the Trojans could not find the back of the net, while the Golden Eagles (4-2-1) were able to net the game’s lone goal in the 32nd minute off a corner kick to secure the win.

Nikki Zaino led Taylor with eight shots in the contest for the Purple and Gold, while Megan Kammer posted five shots, including a team-high four shots on goal.

No. 16 Taylor (6-2) will travel to RV Georgetown (5-2) on Saturday for a 1:00 pm matchup in its next game, looking for a bounce-back performance.
