2014 Purdue Grad Adam Schenk Earns PGA Tour Card

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue grad and former men’s golfer Adam Schenk has earned his PGA Tour card for the 2018 season after an outstanding season on the Web.com tour this season.

Schenk, a 2014 Purdue graduate and Vincennes, Indiana, native, finished 12th on the money list with $236,792 to place in the top 25, which automatically earns a player his tour card for the next season.

Schenk actually wrapped up his PGA Tour card earlier this summer by finishing in the top five in at least three straight events. Schenk did one better, placing in the top five in four straight events at the Air Capital Classic (T-4th), Lincoln Land Charity Championship (1st), Nashville Golf Open (T-5th) and the LECOM Health Challenge (T-5th).

His Lincoln Land title was his first career title and he ended the year with five top-10 finishes and eight top-20 finishes. From the start of May, Schenk missed one cut in 15 events played.

“It feels amazing and its been a very long road to get to this point,” Schenk said. “I’m excited to be able to compete against the best players in the world and there is no doubt in my mind that playing golf at Purdue helped me get to the PGA Tour. I am ever grateful to Boilermaker family in helping me earn my card.”

Schenk finished his Purdue career by ranking second on the career stroke average list (73.35) and third in career top-10 finishes (19). He was a three-time member of the PING All-Midwest Region team and two-time All-Big Ten selection, including a first-team honoree in 2013.
