Caston (Tony Slocum, second season): 1-9, lost to Triton, 42-13, in Class 1A sectional. Opener: at West Central. Have to replace running back Kasey Ault and defensive back Tayt Cowell. Top players back include junior linebacker Hunter Schanlaub and senior linebacker Chris Smith.

Culver (Mike Zehner, third season): 6-5, lost to LaVille, 19-16, in Class 1A sectional semifinal. Opener: at North Judson. Have to replace lineman Marcellus Anderson and running back Kia Riale. Top players back include junior running back Zac Ditmire and senior defensive back Kaleb Jones.

Knox (John Hendryx, fourth season): 9-2, lost to Marian, 17-13, in Class 3A sectional semifinal. Opener: at Winamac. Have to replace quarterback Kooper Broeker and wide receiver Austin Risner. Top players back include senior running back Jared Prater and senior linebacker Dawson Patrick.

LaVille (Will Hostrawser, sixth season): 8-5, lost to Pioneer, 38-0, in Class 1A regional final. Opener: at Culver Academy. Have to replace quarterback Braxton Sauer and wide receiver Jacob Good. Top players back include senior linebacker Riley Wagoner and junior running back Kolby Watts.

North Judson (Ted White, fifth season): 3-7, lost to LaVille, 30-0, in Class 1A sectional. Opener: vs. Culver. Have to replace linebacker Logan Block and defensive back Chris Contreras. Top players back include senior running back Fletcher Greer and senior defensive back Chuckie Wilcox.

Pioneer (Adam Berry, third season): 15-0, beat Eastern Greene, 42-14, in Class 1A state finals. Opener: at Lewis Cass. Have to replace defensive back Nate Johnson and running back Austin Mersch. Top players back include senior quarterback Sam Kiser and senior linebacker Daniel Gregorich.

Triton (Ron Brown, fourth season): 8-4, lost to LaVille, 10-7, in Class 1A sectional final. Opener: at South Central. Have to replace running back Max Slusser and linebacker Drew Stichter. Top players back include senior quarterback James Snyder and senior wide receiver Delano Shumpert.

Winamac (Craig Barr, second season): 4-7, lost to Triton, 48-29, in Class 1A sectional semifinal. Opener: vs. Knox. Have to replace running back Ethan Rogers and defensive back Harley Pugh. Top players back include senior running back Kyle Chumley and senior linebacker Austin Brandt.
