2022 MSFA All-Midwest League Team Announced

MSFA Midwest League runners-up St. Francis claim a league-high nine First Team selections, as the 2022 All-MSFA Midwest League Team was announced on Monday.

The Saints, along with Midwest League champs Saint Xavier combine for 17 of the 32 spots on the First Team, including a combined ten picks on defense. The Saints also claim the MSFA Midwest League Offensive Player of the Year award, as quarterback Sam Tumilty is honored for the second consecutive season. Tumilty finished with an average of 124.9 passing and 85.6 rushing yards per game, and ranked 4th in the Midwest in rushing as the Saints’ signcal-caller.

On the other side of the ball, Saint Xavier linebacker Joey Markasovic was named the Midwest League Defensive Player of the Year, after leading the Cougars with an average of eight tackles per game, 4th-most in the Midwest League.
Terrian Rainey was named the inaugural MSFA Midwest League Offensive Lineman of the Year, after guiding Olivet Nazarene to the tune of 399.4 yards of total offense per game, tops in the League.
Saint Xavier head coach Mike Feminis, along with St. Francis head coach Joe Curry were named MSFA Midwest League Co-Coaches of the Year. Billy McKeon, defensive coordinator for the Cougars, was tagged as this year’s Midwest League Assistant Coach of the Year.
