NOTES: LSU, Ohio State and Clemson remained the top three teams in that order for a second straight week. The same 16 teams were ranked in the poll for a third straight week. Georgia moved up to No. 4 after beating Auburn, edging past Alabama, which also won on the road at Mississippi State. Oklahoma won a big road game at Baylor and moved up only one slot to No. 7. Minnesota fell four spots to No, 11 after losing at Iowa. The Big Ten and SEC led all leagues with five teams each. The Big 12 and Pac-12 had two each. The ACC and Independents had one each.
