MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball fell for just the second time this season, 81-65 to #17 Saint Xavier. The Cougars used a 7-0 run in the third quarter forcing the Wildcats into a 14-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter.
INSIDE THE BOX
- For the first time this season IWU was outrebounded by their opponent. SXU pulled down 37 rebounds while IWU grabbed 30, their fewest in a game this season.
- Indiana Wesleyan came into the contest shooting 77% from the free-throw line. Tonight, the Wildcats took just 14 free throws making half, the fewest made free throws in a game this season.
- Dayton Groninger’s 29 made free throw streak came to an end Wednesday at 30 in a row. The junior finished the night, 1-of-5 from the line. THE LONGEST STREAK IS STILL BEING RESEARCHED BY THE SPORTS INFORMATION DEPARTMENT

- The Wildcats turn around tomorrow hosting Brescia (Ky.) at 7 p.m.
- The Bearcats enter the matchup with a record of 1-6 with their lone win coming against Kentucky Christian, 79-65.
