TU Women’s Soccer Comes Up Short at No. 15 Marian

INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor women’s soccer team scored the game’s first goal in the fifth minute of the contest, but three second-half goals by 15th-ranked Marian handed the Trojans the 3-1 loss on Saturday night.

Bailey Zehr put TU on the board first with a goal off Emily Calvani’s assist, and Taylor’s defense maintained the 1-0 lead through halftime.

In the second half, however, the Knights (11-2-1, 4-0-1 CL) notched goals in the 54th, 61st and 73rd minutes to maintain MU’s unbeaten record in Crossroads League play.

RV Taylor (9-5, 2-3 CL) will return to action on Wednesday, when it hosts Goshen (3-8-2, 0-4-1 CL) inside Turner Stadium at 7:00 pm.
