PNW Men’s XC Captures PNW Classic Title, Chapa Sets School Record
WESTVILLE, Ind. — The Purdue Northwest men’s cross country team won the team title at the PNW Fall Classic in Westville, Ind. Freshman Antonio Chapa (Portage, Ind./Portage) finished second individually and set a school record in the 8K with a time of 26:09.9.
The Pride finished with seven men’s runners in the top 15. Adam Joseph (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) captured sixth place with a time of 26:27.2, while freshman Michael Crook (Southport, Ind./Southport) took ninth, finishing with a time of 27:07.4.
Chris Ramos (Hobart, Ind./River Forest) ended up in tenth after a time of 27:09.9, while Diego Gomez (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) was just two spots behind with a time of 27:28.2.
Freshman Fernando Rosas (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) finished 13th with a time of 27:28.3, and Cameron Chapman (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) rounded out the top 15 with a time of 27:32.
