Kobayashi & Ricard take home 2024 LouisvilleSlugger/Wilson DI weekly honors LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Miami’s Kate Kobayashi and Boston University’s Kasey Ricard collected 2024 Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors for their outstanding performances last week (April 8-14). It marked the third honor this season for the Terrier hurler. In a three-game Mid-American Conference sweep of Akron, Kobayashi batted .667 with a double, four home runs and 10 RBI. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- After Friday's games were postponed due to weather, the Bethel Pilots (10-28, 5-23) split with the Marian Knights (21-18, 16-12) with the Crossroads League season beginning to wind down for the Pilots. GAME 1 Freshman Jesse Stout went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the Pilots 12-1 loss and accounted for two of the seven hits recorded by the Pilots. “Slicer Baseball, A Cut Above” is a 248 page hardcover book, similar in size to a high school yearbook, written about the history of La Porte Slicer Baseball. This book chronicles the history of Slicer baseball from 1919 to the present time.
