Allen, Fleming and Ortmann Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics recently announced its list of 2018 Daktronics Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes, with Taylor’s Christian Allen, Tim Fleming and Graham Ortmann making the list.

In order to be named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status at their current institution.

Allen, Fleming and Ortmann were among the 177 men’s basketball student-athletes from around the nation to be named as 2018 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and were three of the 23 student-athletes from the Crossroads League to be recognized.

TU went 16-15 during the 2017-2018 season, posting a winning record for the second-straight year and highlighting the schedule by picking up five victories over teams ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 Poll.
