Lady Chargers Honored by MCCAA and NJCAA District G

 

The Ancilla College women’s basketball team is getting ready for the national tournament, but the conference and regional awards are beginning to come in. The Lady Chargers (25-5) are having their best season ever and the awards they have received show that.

Fourth-year head coach Tom Robbins was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 12, District G Coach of the Year.

Indianapolis freshman LaRae Roscoe was all-Region 12, District G first team, all- Michigan Community College Athletic Association, all MCCAA Western Conference first team, Western Conference all-Defensive team, Western Conference Defensive Player of the Year and District G tournament MVP.

The sophomores captured the rest of the awards. Brynda Krueger (Mentone) was all Western Conference second team and District G all-tournament team. Quaynika Merriweather (Kokomo) was all- Western Conference third team and all District G all-tournament team.  Karson Williams (Kingsbury) was all western conference honorable mention.

Awards in Agate
