Chargers Claim 10th Win of the Season

Plymouth – Ancilla College (10-5, 3-2) placed five players in double figures to beat Mid-Michigan Community College (8-6, 3-2)) 88-75 Wednesday night in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association game at the LifePlex.

Ty’Sean Sheppard got his double-double in the first half and went on to scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the game. Mike Green added 17 points, with Josh Alcindor scoring 15, Weston Sage had 11 points and Albert Haskins finished with 10 points, which included three monster dunks in the second half.

Alcindor helped the Chargers extend a five point advantage in the final three minutes of the contest when he hit a three point basket and then tipped in a missed jump shot in two consecutive trips down the floor.

Ancilla is scheduled to play at Jackson College on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Fourth Quarter Sinks Ancilla

Plymouth – Ancilla lost contact with Mid-Michigan as the Lakers (14-0). 5-0) stretched a nine-point advantage after three quarters to a 25-point win as they downed the Lady Chargers ((8-6, 2-3) 93-68 Wednesday night in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association contest.

Camryn Kopka led Ancilla with 15 points, with Markeysha Coleman coming off the bench to score 12. Talia Bee finished with 11 points. LaRae Rascoe handed out six assists and Jaela Meister grabbed eight rebounds.

The Lady Chargers had fought for a 42-42 tie at halftime after trailing by as many as nine points in the first half.

Ancilla is scheduled to travel to Jackson College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
