Ancilla Remains Perfect in MCCAA West

 

Plymouth – Ancilla College use a late second half rally to take a 20 point halftime advantage on its way to 97-67 win over Glen Oaks Community College (3-16, 0-8) in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association game at the LifePlex in Plymouth, Saturday.

            Jair Rodgers hit a game-high 29 points and dished out six assists, while Ty-Sean Sheppard added 18 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Erick Shepherd scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Albert Haskins hit all five of his shots for 10 points.  

            The Chargers (18-1, 8-0) will be on the road next week when they play the second and third ranked teams in the MCCAA. They will be at Lake Michigan on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip and at Muskegon on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start. Ancilla beat Muskegon earlier this month in Plymouth and will be playing Lake Michigan for the first time this season. LMC beat Muskegon 105-86 on Saturday to take sole possession of second place in the MCCAA West Division.
