ELGIN, Ill. – After dropping its first game of the season on Saturday, Indiana University South Bend women’s basketball bounced back in its midweek Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference clash on Wednesday night as the Titans cruised past the Judson Eagles, 71-34, inside the Lindner Fitness Center.

Balanced scoring led the Titans women’s basketball team to its eighth victory during the 2019-20 season. Sophomore Rachael Robards, junior Kylie Fehrman and freshman Katie Gard led IUSB in scoring. Robards net a game-high 12 points while going 3-of-5 from behind the arc for her second straight game in double figures. Fehrman and Gard added 10 each to follow Robards.
Freshman Emma Fisher dished out a game-high five assists while junior guard Taitlyn Trenshaw added six points, two steals, three assists and four rebounds for an overall game.
IU South Bend got things started early, outscoring the Eagles 18-8 in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Titans broke the game open with a 21-10 second quarter to take a commanding 39-17 lead at the half and never looked back.
As a team, the Titans went 47.5 percent from the field and just 28.6 from three-point territory. The Eagles shot a minimal 20.5 percent en route to the Titans allowing a season-low 34 points in a game.
With the win, IUSB improves to 8-1 overall and 2-1 during league play and will host Governors State on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. inside the Student Activities Center.
