South Bend, IN — Ancilla College softball coach Juliaclare Plezbert announced the signing of Alexandrea Bare-Davis to a NJCAA National Letter of Intent. A catcher, Bare-Davis is a senior at John Adams high School in South Bend.

The Adams standout batted .286 last season with 18 hits and 20 runs batted in.  Her on base percentage was .333 and her fielding percentage was .967.  She also on the team that won the National Softball Association World Series.

“I am excited to see what Lexie will do at Ancilla, “Plezbert said. “She will bring a lot to our 2019-2020 team with her versatility of being behind the plate or anywhere else she is needed.”

“Lexie is the type of player that is a true teammate,” Amanda Stephens, the Adams softball coach said.  “You will only hear her speak positively about her team.  Lex also has one of the strongest arms I’ve seen at this level from behind the plate and she has great accuracy as well.”

Bare-Davis plans to study special education or early childhood education at Ancilla.
