LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University senior guard Josiah Barsh was named The Sun Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts in guiding the Fire to a pair of wins last week.
The Tacoma, Wash. native matched his career high with 33 points in a 95-84 comeback win at Florida Memorial. Barsh made all 11 of his free throw attempts, and was successful on four 3-point attempts. He also had a team-high 21 points, hitting on 5-of-9 from beyond the arc in an 81-65 win over St. Thomas.
Barsh shot 47.2% from the field, and 9-of-18 from bonus range, averaging 27 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
He now leads NAIA Division II in free throw percentage at 92.2%.
The Fire are on the road Thursday to being the second loop through The Sun Conference at Warner.
