Women’s Golf Finishes Third at Swan Lake; Bunner Earns All-Tournament
Plymouth, Ind. – The Bethel women’s golf team was back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Taylor Invitational at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth and posted a third-place finish after two rounds.
The Pilots shot a 316 in Round 1 to sit four back of Taylor in second place. Jaycee Bunner fired a 76 to sit tied atop the leaderboard. Katie Brooks fired a 78 on Friday to find herself at 5th place.
In Round 2 on Saturday, the Pilos fired a 319 to post a two-day score of 635 and finish in 3rd place overall as a team. Bunner fired a second-round 79 to finish at 155 (+11) and a fourth-place finish individually. Katie Brooks carded an 80 to finish at 158 (+14) to finish at tied for 9th.
Brooke Thomas finished with 82-79 for a 161 (+17), Brooke Scartozzi played to 81-81 and 162 (+18), while Chloe Crusan carded a 81-86 for a two-day finish of 167 (+23).
Bunner earned All-Conference honors with her top-five finish, her second of the season.
The Pilots travel to Palm Coast, Florida, and the Hammock Beach Conservatory Course, for the NCCAA Women’s Golf National Championship from October 23-25 to conclude their fall schedule.
