Bell, Winter Named Division Players of the Week

COLUMBIA, Ky.—Two of the final three Mid-South Conference Sun Division Player of the Week awards went to Southeastern.

Freshman Kamario Bell won his first award of the season, rushing for 120 yards and three touchdowns in Southeastern’s 65-0 win over Ave Maria in the regular season finale, earning Offensive Player of the Week honors. This was his fifth 100-yard rushing effort of the season, helping him finish second in rushing yards per game (101.4) in the conference, and third in total rushing (913).

For the fourth time this season, Caleb Winter was named Special Teams Player of the Week, scoring 17 points Saturday night. Winter was good on all eight of his extra points, and connected on field goals of 33, 37, and 40 yards. The senior is the NAIA’s leading scorer with 94 total points.

The Fire will travel to Lindsey Wilson on Saturday for the first round of the NAIA Football Championship Series.
