MISHAWAKA – Bethel Softball opened up Crossroads League play on Tuesday against Grace and fell apart late in game one, losing 10-8 in extra innings before running the Lancers off the field 9-1 in five innings in game two to split the League opening series. Chloe DeJonge earned her first win in the circle this year in game two.

  • The Pilots jumped out to an 7-1 lead in game one before allowing nine runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings of game one.
  • The Pilots hit five extra base hits in the first game and three more in game two, including Haley Ragonesi‘s Crossroads League-leading fourth home run of the season in a six-run fifth inning.
  • The Pilots swiped seven stolen bases on the day, including two each by Quinn SlattmanMahri Younger, and Karis Brewer.
  • Mahri Younger extended her hitting streak to 12 consecutive games and is hitting .553 over her streak.
