Bethel men’s soccer advances to NCCAA semi-finals

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Bethel Men’s Soccer finished their Pool Play with a 3-0 shutout of Bethesda on Wednesday afternoon and earn the right to advance to the NCCAA National Semifinals on Friday. Jose Barquin and Matheus Santiago continued their mastery, combining for two goals and two assists, while Anu Junior Alemanji got the scoring started in a 13-minute stretch for the Pilots in the second half.

  • The Pilots recorded their second straight shutout and fourth of the season.
  • Jose Barquin recorded his team-leading 14th goal of the season. He sits in 8th place in program history with 34 goals, 10th in program history with 17 assists, and 7th in program history with 85 points.
  • Matheus Santiago recorded his fourth game of the season with at least four points. He now has 12 goals and 3 assists this season.



  • The Pilots advance to the NCCAA National Semifinals as the top seed. They will play the 4th-seed Erskine (S.C.) on Friday at 5:00 pm. The other semifinal features No. 2 Grace (Ind.) against No. 3 Campbellsville (Ky.).
