Big Second Half Lifts Chargers

Benton Harbor, MI – It took a half, but Ancilla College thawed out on Friday night in the final 20 minutes as they defeated Lake Michigan College 88-60 in Michigan Community College Athletic Association action, Friday night.
Weston Sage led the Chargers (12-6, 5-3) with a game-high 17 points. Mike Green and Ty’Sean Sheppard each added 15 and Josh Alcindor came off the bench to score 12. Sheppard was also active on the backboards as he pulled down 14 rebounds, six on the offensive side. Green handed out five assists.
Ancilla has a quick turnaround as they host conference leader Grand Rapids (13-5, 6-1) on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the LifePlex. This is one of the rescheduled games the fourth place Chargers have lined up in the coming weeks.
