Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Champions Crowned
Host Penn State captures the 2017 men’s title; Purdue claims women’s Big Ten Championship

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Host Penn State won the 2017 Big Ten Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship, while the women of Purdue claimed the 2017 Big Ten Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship Sunday at the Nittany Lion Outdoor Track on the campus of Penn State University.

The Penn State men tallied 117 points to claim first place, winning their first team title. Ohio State followed in second place with 103 points, while Nebraska placed third with 97 points.

On the women’s side, the Boilermakers recorded 133 points to claim their third team title and first since 1999. Minnesota finished second with 105.5 points, while Penn State was third with 101 points.
